Welcome to our festival of yarns to frighten you enertain you and delight you. Samhain, pronounced as either sah-win or sow-in, is the Celtic holiday to celebrate the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter. As those of us who live in New England know, Halloween/ All Saint's Day (in the Christian calender) is the ending of the harvest. The leaves have given up their riotous colors in favor of muddled browns. Those leaves still left green are not long for this world, and will bypass the beautiful foliage stage for that early November color.
