For Such a Time As This - Jul 13,2013

The bravest moment of a persons life is not always what we believe it might be. Some might consider it an act of courage in battle, or playing through pain in a sporting contest. Others might see it as someone standing, perhaps alone, against popular opinion, for what they believe is right. Still others might think it an act of self-sacrifice to benefit another person. While all of those are noble acts, I find there may be a braver moment for everyone: that moment when a saint of God puts their life in the hands of God, without concern for receiving it again safely. What is so brave about that? It shows that, finally, a moment has come when that man has shifted his confidence, from the world that he can see, to the God no man has seen at any time. Little do we realize, that God has saved each one for exactly such a moment.
